A deed or power of attorney
Book: Acknowledgment
Since September 12, 2026, Arizona notaries also record your right thumbprint in their journal for these documents. See the Secretary of State’s notary page.

Book: Jurat
Leave it unsigned. You sign after the oath or affirmation, in front of the notary.
A copy of a document you must keep
Book: Copy certification
Bring the original. Notaries can’t certify copies of Arizona public records (A.R.S. § 41-253). Request those from the office that keeps the record.
A spoken pledge for a statement
