The practical assessment portion of our CPR & First Aid Hybrid Training Course is a one-hour, hands-on session designed to evaluate your ability to apply life-saving techniques effectively. This session ensures you can confidently perform the skills learned in the online course in real-life scenarios. Assessment Overview: Adult, Child, and Infant CPR: Chest Compressions: Demonstrate proper hand placement, depth, and rate of chest compressions for adults, children, and infants. Rescue Breaths: Show correct techniques for delivering rescue breaths using a barrier device. CPR Sequence: Perform the complete CPR sequence, integrating chest compressions and rescue breaths. AED Use: Pad Placement: Correctly place AED pads on an adult and child manikin. Operation: Demonstrate the steps to operate an AED, including turning on the device, following prompts, and delivering a shock safely. Choking Relief: Adult and Child: Perform abdominal thrusts (Heimlich maneuver) to relieve choking in adults and children. Infant: Show how to provide back blows and chest thrusts to relieve choking in an infant. Bleeding Control: Pressure Application: Demonstrate how to apply direct pressure to control bleeding. Bandaging: Properly apply a pressure bandage to a simulated wound. Tourniquet Use: Correctly apply a tourniquet to control severe bleeding. Injury Management: Fractures and Sprains: Demonstrate the steps for immobilizing a fracture or sprain using splints or other supports. Burn Treatment: Show how to treat minor and major burns, including cooling the burn and covering it with sterile dressings. Medical Emergencies: Heart Attack and Stroke: Recognize the signs of a heart attack and stroke and describe the immediate actions to take. Seizure Response: Demonstrate the proper response to a seizure, including ensuring the person’s safety and providing post-seizure care. Environmental Emergencies: Heat and Cold Emergencies: Show how to respond to heat stroke, hypothermia, and other temperature-related emergencies. Poisoning: Describe the initial steps to take in case of poisoning, including contacting poison control and administering first aid if necessary.
